Via Ferrata’s detailed description
The Patacons via ferrata is located in Vilaplana (Baix Camp, Tarragona). In this via ferrata, we will move along the limestone rocks of the Prades area without losing sight of the Costa Daurada at any time. It is a demanding via ferrata equipped with ladders, bridges, and chains, culminating in a needle ideal for preparing for its final 15-meter aerial rappel.
The route starts at the base of the mountain and gradually ascends to the top. The via ferrata consists of several sections with different levels of difficulty, but overall, it can be considered of medium difficulty. This makes it suitable for people with some experience, but it is also accessible for those who want to try their skills in this activity for the first time.
During the route, visitors will have to overcome various obstacles such as hanging bridges, ropes, stairs, and walkways, all while enjoying spectacular views of the surroundings. Visitors will also pass through stairs carved into the rock, making the route even more thrilling. Additionally, its 15-meter aerial rappel provides a unique and exciting finish!
Activity operation
We will meet at the meeting point, usually where we will leave the vehicles or from where we will depart with the minimum number of vehicles to the nearest parking lot to the activity.
There, all participants will meet with the guide, we will distribute the equipment for each person, and necessary explanations will be provided.
From there, we will embark on the activity and return to the same point upon completion.
Once at the cars, we will return the equipment to the guide’s vehicle.

Once the activity is finished, we will send you a link with the photos. If you have taken your own photos, we will ask you to add them to the folder so that all participants can access them.

Absolutely! We recommend starting with simpler activities and gradually increasing the difficulty as you gain confidence. You can begin with hiking, snowshoeing, or water treks and challenge yourself.
